Situated in the heart of the Costa Brava, our beautiful house is a place to slow down, gather with family and friends, and enjoy the best of Mediterranean living. Centrally located in a small market town, it offers easy access to peaceful beaches, scenic walks and cycling routes, as well as proximity to Barcelona and Girona, making it an ideal location for nature lovers and culture seekers.
The house has large rooms and high ceilings, and sleeps up to 10 guests across five bedrooms. It has two bathrooms, as well as a large kitchen, several reception rooms and a number of outdoor terraces. Surrounded by a large private garden, it’s perfect for long lunches in the shade, lazy afternoons with a book, and evenings spent dining under the stars.
A few minutes drive from some of the Costa Brava’s most beautiful beaches, the house combines historic character with relaxed, comfortable living.

An artistic retreat - a writer’s retreat?
El Tiller was lovingly restored by Italian artist Tano Pisano, who lived and worked there for two decades and integrated many of his creations into the structure of the large and comfortable 19th century house. It is located in the centre of Palafrugell, a small market town offering easy access to peaceful beaches, scenic walks and cycling routes, as well as the historic and cultural sites of Barcelona and Girona, making it ideal for nature lovers and culture seekers alike.
Outside the summer season El Tiller is available for longer term rentals - why not spend some time in the autumn, winter or spring, relaxing or sampling some of the many award winning local restaurants? An ideal way to overcome writer’s block!

For nature lovers, the mature garden offers an opportunity to lie back and relax. Enjoy the flowers, a little place to sit, eat the fresh oranges and lemons from the trees (in season). A large outdoor barbecue is perfect for cooking fresh fish from the market. There’s a large outdoor marble table in the courtyard, covered by shade or left in the sun, depending on the time of year. It’s the perfect place to lie back, relax, eat and drink with your loved ones whilst overlooking a mural of tiles painted by Tano Pisano.
